How it sounds
Will my customers know they're talking to an AI?
Short answer
Most callers don't think twice about it — it sounds natural, uses your business name, and gets straight to the point. It never claims to be a person, and if someone asks outright, it tells them. What they remember is that somebody answered.
What they actually notice
The worry is always the same: my customers will hate talking to a robot. But think about what the call is actually like for them. They've got water coming through a ceiling. They've rung two people already. Nobody has picked up.
Then someone answers on the second ring, knows your business name, knows you cover their suburb, and gives them a time tomorrow morning. Whether the voice was a person is not the thing they take away from that call. Being looked after is.
It never pretends to be a person
If a caller asks whether they're speaking to a real person, they get the truth. We won't build it any other way, and you wouldn't want us to — getting caught in that lie would cost you the customer you'd just won, and the review that follows.
In practice it rarely comes up. And when it does, people are usually more impressed than put off, because the alternative they've just experienced twice this morning is a phone ringing out.
It sounds like it works for you
Your business name, your greeting, your service area, your hours. No hold music, no queue, no menu of options, no call centre. It answers the questions you get asked forty times a week because we set it up with your answers.
That's why it doesn't land as a robot. It lands as someone at your end who knows what they're talking about.
The calls that need you still reach you
It isn't trying to be you. The routine stuff — are you in my area, roughly what does this cost, when can someone come, can I book — it handles. Anything bigger, anything unusual, anything it isn't certain about, it takes the details and texts them straight to you with the caller's number.
You decide where that line sits. If you want every quote conversation to come to you personally, it does.
Don't take our word for it — ring it
This is the one thing you can settle in two minutes. We'll set one up with your business name and your details, you ring it from your own phone, and you try to catch it out.
Nearly everyone hangs up from that call quieter than they went into it.
